>> There was no evidence to suggest that a man, walking home from the store and shot dead, was innocent?

What you just described happens DAILY in this country. And sometimes they're innocent, sometimes they're not.

The fact that a man ended up dead does not show that the man was innocent. Particularly when the guy who admitted shooting him was injured by the decedent.

>> Zimmerman is going to jail for a very long time.

He may be. But that will not have been the correct outcome given the fact that in this country a person is supposedly innocent until proved guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt". At the very least, there is "reasonable doubt".
