We SHOULD worry about their military! If they can't come up with the technology themselves they just steal it from us. China is turning out the scientists. We can't even get a lot of our kids to finish highschool. If China can avoid the sort of social upheaval usually seen in growing economies then they WILL rule the world. But, we're seeing a lot of the manifestations of a more educated and knowledgeable society in China right now. Employees are starting to strike and demand better conditions and wages. The foibles of their leadership are starting to be reported. We're hearing more and more about corruption. I think China is going to have a LOT of growing pains in the next couple decades.
