Holder faces big decision on DOJ charges against Zimmerman

Pretty easy call actually, the odds of a Federal charge resulting in a conviction are maybe 1 in 1,000, so the odds of the DOJ pursuing Federal charges are maybe 1 in 100,000. Everyone concerned at the Federal level is too savvy to fall into the same trap that the State of Florida fell into. Make the wrong call and you risk your career being consumed by a case you cannot win. A Federal trial would be 10x the spectacle of the state trial.

Federal charges have to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, just like state charges.

Here are the Federal statutes at issue:

fbi.gov

Of all the people advocating for Federal charges, maybe 1 in 1,000,000 will bother to do a Google search and read the actual statutes, people can't be bothered with the facts.
