They both seemed to express a sense of danger based on suspicious behavior of the other.

George was using the intelligence provided by the circumstance and his role (multiple burglaries committed in the community, with the presence of a person he considered suspicious). He identified a tall unfamiliar hooded male. Was this an innocent kid wrongfully profiled or did he fit the qualifications of a suspicious character? As it turns out, a history of violent aggression causing suspension from school, drug usage, having been caught with burglarized items in his backpack, current stated intent to commit violent acts, and ultimately formulating a plan to violently attack a watchman with a stated intent to kill him. George was right to be suspicious of this guy.

Trayvon was using the intelligence he had acquired on the street. He had learned he could cold cock a guy and beat the crap out of him. He didn't give reasons on his web site for the previous beatings he had delivered, he just bragged about his victories and future intentions. He saw somebody he thought was creepy and figured he could take him out. He almost did. If he hadn't been shot he probably would have been arrested for assault, attempted murder, or murder depending on the extent of the beating.
