Huawei Ascend W1 coming to Net10

July 15, 2013 | By Surur

Net10 is a subsidiary of TracFone in USA who specialize in prepaid mobile phones. It seems the carrier will soon be supporting a Windows Phone as the Huawei Ascend W1 has shown up on Amazon with their branding.

The handset is currently unpriced and not for sale yet, but has previously been spotted for $100 commitment-free, which would undercut even the Nokia Lumia 521.

Recent AdDuplex stats from July this year has shown Huawei surprisingly has 2% of the US Windows Phone 8 market, even more than Samsung, who only had 1.5%, indicating the late entrant, who claims to have sold 1 million W1’s in Europe and USA already, may be having a much bigger impact than anticipated.

See the entry at Amazon here.
