1) deals with the future and is certainly debatable, but 2) IS FALSE! It's not a matter of BELIEF. It is a fact. You BELIEVE what you want. I've given plenty of facts with regard to real bandwidth in the past. If they went in one ear and out the other, hey, I tried!
3) Yes, it's irrelevant! Your statement suggests you do not understand the differences in services between the MSO's and ATHM. You guys are mixing and matching incompatible buzzwords. VOD, NVOD, internet connections, and advertising dollars...you completely changed gears from the original statement. Any form of PPV/OD programming provided by an MSO is not an advertising-dollar-driven service. I give up. There's no point. If it's not rosey-rah-rah, nobody wants to hear it, and certainly isn't spending any time looking into anything beyond some fluffy press releases (as long as they're positive). There are literally THOUSANDS of pages of documentation available, most to the general public, reagrding all these topics and competing technologies. Since I've read most of these at least once, and some I use on a daily basis, I'm merely trying to point out or summarize information that the average person doesn't have the time or background to assess. Since no one is benefiting from this, I'll stop posting here. It does ME no good to spend, collectively, many hours of my time trying to provide condensed information so that someone could do further investigations on their own, because no one is.
