Re: Timing for the 3rd Italian line is now uncertain....
Why do you state this? Has there been news to indicate that Italy #3 is on hold, behind schedule, etc?
Glad to see you could get connected. Any thoughts on news out of the company before the end of the year? At this point, I'm becoming weary of more talk of line progress from people on SI until I hear of something confirmed from the company. 1st Qtr 98 is just around the quarter. I'd like to hear that OEM deals are on the table and being negotiated. Per the last conference call, didn't Cal state that no OEM had prototypes from the high speed lines themselves? When wll this happen?
Also, re Does anyone have VLNC as their core holding? Yes! No guts, no glory! I could invest money is a well known blue chip, like Eastman Kodak, but 10 years later, it could be down to where I bought it at. Same holds true for a Dell, especially a Dell! And Microsoft. And Yahoo. And Amazon. The ratios are ridiculous. Yes, they've grown impressively. But, who's to say they'll keep growing. If you're not willing to lose allof your money when you invest in the market, then don't invest. It's just as easy to lose all your money on a Dell as it is on a VLNC. (Granted, it may not happen overnight, like an investment in VLNC, but a long a steady decline, or no increase, or a major disruption or technological breakthrough could make Dell's shares as worthless as VLNC.) The bottom line is, investing is already risky. Because of that, I'm willing to invest heavily in those stocks that'll give me the greatest reward for my risk.
