Well, I do have a pretty good handle on what constitutes "cost" -- unlike some commentators, like Stiglitz(who first wrote the book "The $1 Trillion War", then decided to rename it to the $3 Trillion War after it didn't sell).

Cost is actually a pretty well-defined figure. But when you get academic economists trying to determine it, it becomes kind of like that "surplus" you were bragging about -- just so much bullshit.

I can buy that the total cost might run to the 2.2T that the Brown University report suggests, but that will be over a number of decades. As of today, the total cost has been the figure I gave you earlier, about 1/3 of which was incurred under Obama.

Part of the problem is that leftwing nutjobs, AFAIK, are incapable of comprehending what a trillion actually is. You can buy a lot of stuff with it if you spend it right. (If you spew money, as was done with Obama's stimulus, you can spend a trillion and not accomplish a damned thing).
