Bob.. whoa!!..first of all it has been with a SUBSTANTIAL investment that has been pretty close to 150k..so DO NOT imagine I have been trading 10-20k and doing anything miraculous and I although it has been lopsided (one day could be up 5k and next 1,000) I would say it has worked out to 2k a day, in fact I have been trading with 1 partner who has had almost he same picks as I and done equally as well and another who has had other picks but he is on the same thread and we have helped each other confirm our buys.

An easier way to check and note my strategy would be simply to follow my post on NASDAQ GEMS for the weeks in question and check the picks and their subsequent increases: exchange2000.com

Most of them were in retail sectors, food, or non-tech sectors, and there was a SUBSTANTIAL participation in Options. What I changed was not the fact that I trade options, but the amount of positions held in options (20-25 different option positions) rendering me useless in case of a market crash. They were also for expiration dates up till January. Now I hold many more calls in less positions (4-5 a day) and yes my number of calls have been between 10-50 in some cases and almost solely earnings plays. (i.e. holding 40 calls in FMY and 10 calls in both ABS and BBY, and 20 in before earnings SMOD were some examples.

By the way 10K of that 45k was in my long term portfolio, since it is a lot smaller than my trading portfolio it took longer to acrue. This was mostly due to fact that I rebought some Israeli companies and got back 11% on them. I'm not sure if you follow my nasdaq gems thread, Bob, but 80% of these positions were in EARNINGS PLAYS which is my methodology, and others were upgrades/downgrades, newsworthy events which I get instantly from Reuters and even download to my trading channel at #RTtrader, a very small number come from #daytraders which I keep on my desktop. I don't do that much daytrading.. mostly I just keep an earnings play (i.e. BBY,ABS,MOVA,GPS,BKE until it wears out after a few days)...

I hope I've made myself clearer. I'd hate to think I made this sound like a 'miracle'.. Actually I spend hours every night researching earnings plays and have many tools to aid me. This was not easy, but hopefully when the market gets back to an even keel, I won't have to work that hard.
