Total BS but even if it happened exactly as you imagine, it would still be simple self defence, not stand your ground or manslaughter. Even if it was proved that he profiled Martin because he was black and even if he provoked Martin then this would not be manslaugter because Martin theatened Zim with loss of life when he was banging his head on the ground. IMO I do not think Mr. Martin was trying to kill him, but simply did not understand in his anger that this could possibly be life threating. Now if Zim had died then Mr. Martin would be giuilty of manslaughter because there was no cause to do that, if Zim threw the first punch he would be guilty of battery.
