Continued slack in industrial capacity in the context of a new global economy and rapid advances in technology have changed the playing field from 20+ years ago. I think the only elephant in the room is high oil prices. But eve that could be a mixed blessing as it is leading to faster innovation in alternatives that might break the back of high oil prices in coming years which would assure low interest rates continuing for the duration..
