Kailesh, a thin client model works well when the individual information requests are small packets. Perfect for SFA. For example, when requesting info on customer XYZ, I only need info for XYZ and the screen to display it, not the whole database. There are some good white papers on the BROC web site explaining the NetGain model.

Yes there are drawbacks to the thin client model in other applications which is why I am short Citrix, but SFA is the perfect application for thin client computing in my opinion.

Your second point can be turned around. As a SFA customer under the "per seat" pricing, I will purchase the absolute minimum number of seats. This will limit use and penetration of the SFA in my company and preclude any inclusion of downstream vendors or my customers. But the NetGain model allows any number of seats. I can give management and downstream customers pass word limited access to the system on a "need to see" basis. BROC will make money from this model by charging a license fee based on server use statistics. Now that makes me the customer happy, I can spread my clients far and wide and I don't mind paying based on server use because my sales are likely to be proportional to server use. A better revenue model in my opinion.
