Yeah....But..... I personally think that each human should live up to their potential.. Maybe some of us were born 'in a stew of problems" either real or perceived, but each human can go to the library and at a minimum learn how to read! And from there, the world is their oyster, so to speak.
Look at Dr. Ben Carson, and Justice Clarence Thomas for instance. Each one of them were born into potential problems all around them. But their parents, even if so very poor in money, were indeed rich in spirit, and gave that spirit to their children.
I really am losing patience with making excuses for people who are able bodied, and have IQ's past room temperature. Each of us was given some talent...it is up to each of us to find ours and work toward using it....I think it's fair to say, that with the amount of money that the US Federal Government has spent since FDR days, that there simply is NO excuse anymore for people not to learn a trade of some sort, and do their darndest to support themselves, and their families.
I met one lady in my employment counselor days who was working three part time jobs, as was her husband. They were from the Philippines, and worked very hard to support their families, and were working with the same strength to make sure their children had food, shelter, clothing and the joy of learning to help them in their lives.
Too many, particularly blacks, are today marinated in a stew not conducive to good results
