Actually, fossils are quite common. Anybody who has been in a coal mine knows this.

Evolution is a fact. The (original) theory of evolution is clearly flawed. And in recent years many scientists are rethinking the theory away from gradual evolutionary changes over time to a model that includes dramatic changes in very short periods of time. This would account for the preponderance of "missing links" in the evolutionary chain.
