Reading the offer papers:
I really don't see another bidder comming in, though 4 some tax purpsoe okay.
The offer papers essentially says DMG solicated a variety of international companies my guess ( MOT, ALA, NEC, GTE, TXN, WSTL, more) and only 6 showed up for the presentation. This all started in June. Then after that, only two formal written bids were given and new bids have come in after oct 1, 1997.
Therefore, the above and AMTX can not forcefully look for another bidder makes me assume all bids are in and the offer will stand @ 20.
I wonder what the MCI/BT /WCOM offer read like, and if MCI got new bidders after BT lowering.
Man, DMG get 7.5m WSTL get the breakup fee + loan + interest, and we get $20.00 a pop. For a founding forefather of SI AMTX deserved better - Oh well. |
