This is not surprising. Older, more experienced people, are likely less tolerant of the bullshit they'll get at CNN or MSNBC. They had rather have a slight conservative bias than an extreme liberal bias, if they have to choose.

CNN and MSNBC changed from news reporting to sensationalism within the course of a few short years. Fox already has the most balanced news in the industry, and they can tweak it one way or the other in months without losing subscribers.

But why would they when their viewership rolls over the competition?
