You really have to be a moderate to be president. Even GWB, maybe the most extreme in the modern era IMHO wasn't that extreme but was controlled by the neocons and war mongers.. What is sad today is the GOP paints Obama as some off the charts left wing radical even when he has in too many ways been a third/fourth GWB term so far too protective of the plutocrats in industry that helped wipe out the middle class.
