RE: 2. Name 3 software products that Intel developed. Heck, name 1! I suspect some of the 500 sw developers you mentioned are actually working on internal erp software, i.e. electronic commerce and webapps etc. Virtually every company has had to add headcount that they never had before to implement more complicated mfg systems based on client/server and new e-apps technology. 500 seems like a small number of sw people to support intel, imo.
