Bruwin - yes I remember the exchange in 2006 regarding GE in the Value thread. Your opinion was more correct than mine in the light of what happened in 2008. My opinion is that GE should split it's finance part into those that are related to it's industrial business (leasing etc) and the part that is not. The unrelated part should be sold or spun off, more likely it would be the latter, because of it's size that make it big to swallow.
