Boy, are you out of it. The Intel software developments are not boxed retail products, so you may not be aware of them, but they are things that go into BIOS' and Operating systems, and they are MAJOR. Things like INDEO and Video for Windows (the base of virtually every video display system other than Apple's and MPEG), Plug and Play (largely if not mostly Intel, with a big MS component also), Advanced Power Management, ProShare video conferencing, the software component of the PCI bus and some MAJOR performance enhancers that will be part of Windows 98. I not only beat your one, I beat your three, and that's by no means a complete list. |
