hardest thing to do is to take away the prism and see things clearly. I feel I might see it more than most as I am not ideologically driven. On SI I see liberals always make excuses for underachieving, wayward blacks going in the wrong direction. I am a liberal that SI wingers are forever accusing of defending blacks. In fact, there is another term they would like to use that involves the n word. After putting down my posts, they tell me their proposal for helping blacks to do what they need to do.... first take away their welfare and food stamps so they become motivated and industrious and hyper responsible and admirable citizens which is the prism through which whites see themselves.........even though that prism isn't a terribly accurate portrayal of many whites. And then blacks will become the model citizens that whites believe they already are. Easy peasy. Welfare and the projects and food stamps, promoted by 'libtards', has been the downfall of the black race...........and to make sure its really, really true........wingers pull out a black man like Elder who definitively says its true. EOS. Except its all BS. If a person is in a horrific car accident, you don't give that person a band aid and aspirins and send him home. Food stamps, welfare and housing projects are cheap band aids.......and all they do is maintain the status quo. If this country really wants to rehabilitate the black race after centuries of slavery and discrimination, then this country needs to spend some real coin and make it happen. That's what its going to take to break the so called poverty cycle. But it won't happen because the assholes in this equation and in this country......the Rs..........will never let it happen. BTW racism isn't an ideology.....instead its a way of looking at someone based on a set of biases. Zimmerman saw Martin as young and black; add on a hoodie and the way he was walking [too slow] and you have a Zimmerman prism that saw Martin as one of 'those f'king a-holes who always get away'.
