Part of the fun of shorting a stock is accepting the risk that the stock could move against you. Of course the fact that I have never had to cover a position at a loss is 100% attributable that no stock I have ever shorted has actually been bought out.

Could it happen? Yes

Will it happen? Doubtful... who would even want to buy KLIC? It's kind of a niche market. Look at the competitors:

finance.yahoo.com

A buyout of KLIC is unlikely.

Bottom line I don't short oversold stocks. I want the odds in my favor. So much so that I am not interested in shorting, or being long, KLIC at all right now because it is neither overbought nor oversold.

I'm very careful about what I do with my money. So careful that I am not doing much with it at all right now but waiting for a better opportunity.
