I don't know why that's funny. If it's funny to you that Fred Phelps was a Democrat who was born in the 1920s, then you don't know much about the evolution of our two-party system.

It's funny because the notion of old-school right-wing Democrats still around today is rather quaint.

In any case, I'm sure it's been mentioned many times outside of this "fantasy world thread" that WBC could be a left-wing plant. Just like it's been mentioned by certain U.S. Congressmen that Osama bin Laden was "already on ice" during the Bush wars.

In other words, conspiracy theories are nothing new.
