The new dropdowns were a major show-stopper for me, so I had to find a work-around or else quit using SI.

My solution was to add links on my FF bookmarks toolbar for SubjectMarks, AdvancedSearch, and PeopleMarks. I chopped the link names to a few characters, and positioned these on the far left side of the toolbar. Now I can quickly perform 95% of my SI navigation without invoking the dreaded dropdowns. The only dropdown menu I use frequently is Mail. My screen header looks like this...
