* Speaking of Kentucky, McConnell's primary challenger, Matt Bevin, has launched his first 30-second ad, suggesting the incumbent isn't conservative enough.

* For his part, McConnell has asked that Bevin's ad be pulled from the air because it runs afoul of federal campaign finance law.
