An article by Brian Steinberg (Dow Jones) last week, included the following statement: With his characteristic bravado, Ebbers suggested that WorldCom could be back on the acquisition trail sooner than many suspect. He said he would like to add a "profitable wireless" carrier, but declined to offer more details. Speculation is that he may be looking at Nextel and AirTouch in the not to distant future (Nextel will be hopefully profitable in 1998). All speculation since he has a lot on his plate now (MCIC acquisition), but I know he has a relationship with the McCaw family since he purchased MFS Communications from them a couple of years ago. He also paid top dollar (2.1 shares WCOM for 1.0 shares MFST). Yes. This stock is definitely an investment for the future! Al. Can you find out if the "X" has good night vision. (VBG) Bernie
