Thank you for telling me what I know after reading my first post on this board. I am sure you are typical of a Dell shareholder. You don't research very deeply. The stock went up ten times in a short period of time so it will do it again. Good luck to you.

People who support the notion that the "high end" PC will dominate into the future conviently ignore reality. Intel based PC's are not the fastest, or the best, but they have consistently beaten faster, better competitors. Look at Apple or DEC for example. Why do people go with Intel? A big part is price. Intel based PC's always undercut their competitors in price. What makes you think the consumer is going to buy so many PC's for their home when they have a set-top box that is as good over-all and far better in some areas like video? You point out that no one is buying these machines now. Good point. Set-top boxes have traditionally been given away or loaned by our cable companies. As soon as these companies roll out the boxes the numbers will change dramatically. These boxes are rolling off the lines as I write. The cable companies have orders for millions.

You probably have a big chunk of Apple and DEC in your portfolio don't you?
