Hi Amazing, I'd expect you as a Network Engineer to enlighten us about USB manufactures, not ask us. From what I've heard so far, mostly from reading on the Net: 1. USB never realy took off and, chances are, never will. It's being replaced by FireWire (a.k.a. standard 1394) 2. USB, as well as FireWire, is not a device. This is the way pieces of hardware communicate between each other. Every device will have USB (FireWire) port: hard drive , monitor, keyboard, etc. Just like now devices are connected to serial, parallel, ISDN ports. You got me confused big time. Can anybody else shed some light on how soon we may see USB/Firewire? |
