Blix and Powell BOTH believed Iraq had WMD.

Which totally shoots a hole clean through the theory that we were "taken to war on a lie".

You go to war with the information you have at the time, not what comes out months or years after the fact.

And the truth is NO ONE, including Blix, believed that Iraq wouldn't reconstitute its WMD programs as soon as the heat was off. Saddam needed to go, he went, and it is really something we don't need to concern ourselves with any further. Instead of a nuclear Iran and and a nuclear Iraq, we only have to concern ourselves with a nuclear Iran.

That seems like a win for the entire world.
