Matt, Money for IR&D is better spent than for buyback. Buybacks are usually done by companies cash rich like IBM, CPQ, INTC. ASND needs to rebuild its reputation as a leader in switching technology. I don't believe the company would even consider a buyback now. Many on this thread want the "quick fix" but investors like you and I know what the company has to do and it seems to have started.
