I think that's easier said than done unless we have troops on the ground.

The interesting thing that we have seen in the Middle East is the strong presence of a "secular" or modern sector of the population.

We saw it in Iran with their "Green" movement and we have seen it now in Egypt with all the marchers protesting Morsi. The latest is in Tunisia as they have objected to fundamentalist rule there.

The problem is that a Majority of the people in all three of those countries are probably devout impoverished Muslims with limited educations.

A majority voted for the Muslim Parties in both Egypt and Tunisia.

In Iran the Muslim religious parties are so entrenched it's almost impossible to tell exactly how the general populous feels.
