door-to-door sales magazines, avon, etc.. just another pyramid scheme ... those lured in are mainly naïve high school types or other rubes.. the kids mostly earn nothing or little from such endeavors. The good example is cutco knives..Cutco (also known as vector marketing) lures them into their tiny branch affiliate offices and the kids or rubes are offered so-called "jobs" of selling wildly overpriced knives to family , friends etc... Cutco actually requires "new hires" to purchase a big set of knives themselves. In essence these "employment applicants" actually are customers of cutco. it becomes embarrassing for the kids and most quit shortly afterwards..
