"The Black Sea is mostly dead below 660 feet and contains the world's largest dead zone of hydrogen sulfide that smells of rotten eggs when it bubbles to the surface." It was the same even in times of Yason and Argonauts. The only way to improve conditions, is to stop winds which sweep away top water layer during storms. Eric N.
