Bipin,

Before you draw any conclusions I would encourage you
to obtain a longer account of the LG announcement than the
one-paragraph blurb on EBN.

The story off the DJ wire (available at the WSJ site for one)
is more complete, and contains such tidbits that a good portion
of non-memory chip production will be in Wales, in a new
facility ramping to full production by 1999.

As Mike Burke has pointed out, none of these statements should
be taken as significant new news.
