all things the unions(I.e. workers =people actually working0 knew long before Ford

There is really no benefits to the working man that he didn't have to fight for from his masters. Until unions, it simply was not possible for the worker to have any voice at all. The fact that Ford benefited from the 40 hour week wasn't Ford's great idea, otherwise he would have begun Ford with a 40 hour week.
