chirodoc, I am impressed with management. I have posted some of this in the past but it still hold true. Manaement is focused. While one can have all sorts of regrets that Xoma did not continue to persue all its interesting options we should be glad it did not. Previous managment had made a big bet on sepsis and new management needed to save the co. Focus on BPI was essential. Look at the patent record. Patents are important and it is Castellos management that did it. Getting Garovoy on board was also important. The recent financing deal crafted by management and P. Davis was very sound. E. Martin to me seems to be the best in the business. Take a look at her background and just the visiable stuff Xoma provides the public with. If I could I would shoot some other managements starting with their i.r. depts! <g>

Important to me is the fact that there are no pictures at the exibition. While at some point their will and should be pictures of management in the annual report at present I think their absense demonstrates managements committment to what is important and thats the scientific progress not any cult of personality.

The licensing agreements to date indicate that Xoma know whatit is doing. Big name pharmas would have no interest if it did not.

While all biotech develop a relationship with their researchers Xoma is able to convey an impression that the company and they are part of a team that is excited about the prospects for the drugs being researched.

However only with contact either direct or indirect with staff would I feel I really knew management. What do the run of the mill employees think about heir bosses? Don't know. Could make it a project to find out but for now not worth it.
