I don't think the NC will have any problem meeting anybody's definition of meaningful deployment in 1988 and what's really going to suprise people is that the instantaneous adoption of Java by governmental and educational institutions around the world. Microsoft is playing hardball with pricing structures for Office and that's going to backfire when eSuite gets released. There may be a temporary productivity blip but managers know that's a small price to pay for freedom, or was it the $49 price tag! In the 60's it was music, in the 90's, the hills are alive with the sound of geeks pounding out Java Beans for eSuite loyalists. Not sure what the connection is.
