I'm all for free trade, but it's not fair trade. The US has more laws and regulations on the books regulating commerce than any other country in the World, perhaps with the exception of the EU. Obviously wages have to be based on productivity, and all the insane regulations, taxes, and inspections that the competition doesn't experience is shear suicide. As a whole the US has to be quickly becoming one of the least productive, with more and more people just not working and not even doing anything entrepreneurial. Why? It's not worth it because the risk to reward is so high. Many State and Local taxes are based off of revenue and not profit earned. Most small businesses fail and people lose their homes, all their assets because of absurd regulations and taxes that do nothing more than provide a welfare jobs to bureaucrats.
