Tom: It appears Presstek has answered the question as to the NUMBER OF QUICK MASTERS INSTALLED AS OF 12/05/97. "MORE THAN 500" Given that Presstek loves PR, I interpret that to mean closer to 500 than 600. Looks like Pierre was right, Heidleberg may have over 400 DI's in inventory. See: presstek.com " This is the same direct imaging system that Presstek developed for Heidelberg for use in the Quickmaster 46-4 DI and GTO-DI. Currently there are over 500 presses installed worldwide using this technology making it the single largest direct-imaging process in the world today."
