Kit/Paul,

I spoke to Chuck Courson today and told him that it's just a matter
of time before I part company with LUMN. They've always got a new
strategy and did you see what they are paying for the Audit? They say
they won't pay all of it, but they'll likely pay most of it - either
them or the lawyers. What a joke! They can't even agree with their
accountants re: the cost of an audit. What really galls me is that
they did so poorly with sales in the US. Something like $2.1 M for
the year. Thank god for India.

I expect we will see a few waves of selling and that when the action
is at a climax on the downside, I'll be buying. But I doubt that I'll
be in for the long term any more. I cannot believe anything they say
and that's a big no no. If they hadn't shot their mouth off about
sales being in the order of $14 M and earnings of 9 Cents CDN, I
wouldn't care. But they repeated this like a mantra and not ever did I hear
something else. OK, subtract the India situation and you still have
a 15 cent swing. How can anyone be so far off 2 years in a row.

It's not like the numbers are large either. Heck, I could maintain a
sales picture on my desk top for the 9 Million they've done.
Who needs a sophisticated accounting package?

Do you remember a firm in Ottawa called Systemhouse? One year - not
too long ago, they had said that sales were going great and they were
going to be making a fantastic profit. The stock soared on the news
and they did financing and everything was going fine. Then a couple
of months later they announced that they lost $100,000,000. Oops!!
Golly, how did that happen?

Seems familiar, only the numbers are now smaller.

Ttyl.
