The mistake you are making is that the Right now lives in a post-rational world. Reality is just another opinion that is on the same footing as anything you can imagine. So if you want to believe that Obama is an anti-business Kenyan born socialist Islamo-fascist, fanning the flames of racism so he can destroy the American way of life just because, well that is just as valid, if not more so than a somewhat right of center pragmatist with corporate ties that his actions actually indicate.

It is a quintessential expression of freedom to let your inner loon fly free, leaving the antiquated constrictions of reality and rational thought behind...

After all, we are talking about the group who expected hyper-inflation when all of the signs of deflation were all over the economy. Who think austerity is what we need when every country practicing it have damaged their economies. Who actually went and unskewed the polls because they were giving answers they didn't like and were shocked when they lost. Who created and fervently believed literally hundreds of conspiracies every time we have a Democratic president and are only encouraged when they all wind up debunked.

It is the Whigs all over again.
