It's pointing out that he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
You and I are old enough to know that even this is no longer a valid excuse.

What would you do in situations like these? You would rather be "damned" for doing something you believe in, right?

What does Obama believe in, other than wishing that everyone just stepped to his tune, a wish that he has revealed in no uncertain terms? He has demonstrated a very thin skin, which doesn't help when it comes to accomplishing anything in this hyper-partisan climate.
