We have taken a very huge step in that direction.

Now, half the people in the country are dependent on the other half to sustain them, a totally untenable position for a nation to be in.

At this point, any intelligent person would have to conclude that we on a trajectory for collapse. That trajectory can be changed, but with each passing day it becomes more unlikely.

When the printing and borrowing of money stops, which it will, there is the possibility the trajectory will change, but a greater possibility that we'll see an economic collapse. Whether the political system can sustain that I have no idea.
