You have nailed it, I think. HE ADMITS TO BEING AN ESCAPIST DRUG ADDICT AND THEN HE RE-INVENTS HIMSELF AS A SUPERSTITIOUS LOSER--AND A CHOSEN AND ELECTED PERSON! His claim is that he is so worthless that he will get to gloat over your eternal torture! What a guy!!
