I am definitely leaning in the direction of the newer Nexus 7. I don't expect to be buying a new one every year so feel I would be happier to get the latest version possible at the time of purchase . The few extra dollars doesn't influence me to downgrade to the 2012. However, I am still considering the Samsung 3-8 which I have played with at the new Samsung shop at Best Buy and it too is pretty awesome. But, $399 for it is getting a little pricey. I 'll have to go back to BB to see if they have a Nexus demo up and running as it's always nice to be able to touch and feel.
