Ian, overall I agree with everything your saying... my real point is that there are angles to watch out for:

This has been stated in the press continually as a reason why the currency crisis wont hurt many companies selling in Asia...ie. "their revenues are in dollars, so they can still afford to buy equipment in dollars". This makes sense...but so does buying what you can in non-dollar inputs. Where the Japanese do compete, they are becomming more competitive... this may be a continuing saga yet to unravel if the dollar keeps marching along.

< Canon, Nikon are just as likely to take the extra margin in Yen as to pass along a price decrease.>

Yes, I suppose so...just something to remeber for when the market for these steppers becomes a little more competitive.

And Cannon/Nikon seem to be bogged down with their own problems shipping DUV! Hopefully it continues!

Thanks for your thoughts....

DAK

Oh yea...one more thought on the Korean cancellation... sure SVGI will just sell 'em to someone else...but do you thing this will hold the stock back near term anyway? Its just interesting that they don't announce that many orders...then they finally get to send out their little press release....and WHAM... the order gets cancelled! (delayed? what ever).
