Now here is what SUNE said in the conference call:

"Our Semiconductor Materials segment performed well despite the challenging business environment. Improvements in operational efficiency and cost containment programs have enabled us to grow revenue, operating profit and cash flow, despite continued pressure on pricing. The strong foundation we have will be our advantage in what remains a less certain industry backdrop during the second half of this year.

Our Solar Energy segment revenue grew 25% and sale of solar projects grew 32% in the quarter. Our momentum is building as we scale the platform to a higher level through the second half of this year.

Also in Solar, we are driving towards increased flow revenue, the growth of which will help reduce the volatility in our Solar projects business and improve profit margins and linearity in 2014 and beyond. Our competitive position in both our market segments remains strong."

Does this sound like a company in desperation straights, that needs a 25% stock price haircut? To the detriment of SUNE and some other tech stocks...recognized revenue comes in clumps that are spread out unevenly over the course of a fiscal year. So some quarters are dismal and others are fantastic. The balance of the year guidance given by SUNE was consistent with what they had laid out six months ago. A little tweeking here and there, but no major changes.

Journalism is said to be the world's second oldest profession.....but financial journalism is trying to be #1.

My money is still on SUNE long term. If I wasn't smart enough to sell out prior to earnings.....why would I be so dumb as to sell now?

I don't have the technical expertise of a lot of the posters here....so I just post my general observations .on some stocks.

The only thing that will harm SUNE and FLSR would be a solar eclipse that lasts a couple of years.
