They were kids. If they were 10 years older I would be less sympathetic, but you can't expect kids to make wise decisions when they are all starry eyed. One would hope that their parents would have been a little smarter about the situation that their daughters were going into and recommended someplace like Australia or something.

I do believe that there is some responsibility that the media should hold for whitewashing the muslim cultures. They keep on insisting that the terrorists are a small percentage of the population and the rest of the muslims are benevolent victims of the terrorists. I believe this gives a false sense of safety.

These girls will be scarred for life. That's a heavy price to pay for simply picking the wrong place to volunteer.
