Buckley, being a good observant Catholic, naturally couldn't stomach that Rand had no time for religion. As for Chambers, his hit piece on Atlas was not only vicious and nasty, but his take on her philosophy was diametrically opposite of that which she espoused. Rand's writings were among the most important intellectual works of the 20th century. She obviously scored a lot of points, as evidenced by the continuing amount of vitriol that's tossed at her, decades after her death. And I find it amusing that I'm quite sure that she would consider people such as yourself to be impotent worms, unworthy of even engaging in dialogue.
