The banks need to be brought under control. If we start fiddling with Fannie and Freddie their zillion lobbyists will come in and make sure they get the lions share of the changes in profits. What is going on now. Pubs have been trying to get rid of the public sector and replace it with the private sector since Raygun. The problem with waiting to see teh details of how it would be done, is that by that time, it would be done. The program is working pretty well now except for the heavy penalties recently put on the middle class to borrow money. If they could not get it right after 08, why would they get it right now?
